This is Why I Love Kasol Kasol is an interesting little town in Himachal arranged along the banks of the waterway Parvati. Regularly known as the 'Amsterdam of India', Kasol is a vacation destination that is quickly acquiring notoriety as a famous center point for adventurers, explorers, and nature darlings. Kasol is arranged 23 kms from Bhuntar and close to the strict town of Manikaran and is perhaps the best spot in the nation just to pause for a moment and chill in the scene of snow-clad mountains, pine trees and murmuring stream.  Kasol is popular for its traveling trails, which incorporate trips to Kheerganga, Yanker Pass, Sar Pass, and Pin Parbati Pass. To get a genuine vibe of the way of life around here, go on a visit to the town of Malana. Found a couple of kilometers from Kasol, Malana is a small villa possessed by individuals living in self inflicted disengagement. Individuals of Malana guarantee themselves to be Aryan relatives, because of which they keep away fro

Life in the Valley

 LIFE IN THE VALLEY

Living in the mountains, I feel closer to God, in-touch with nature and see spiritually for miles. But down there in the cities things seems to be little unclear, toxic and monotonous.
I am a native Himachali, a place where heaven touches Earth and I luckily happen to born here. I'd say I love living on the heights(who doesn't). I have been staying in the plains for past 3-4 years. Pandemic hit and I got to reconnect with my birth place.

HOW MOUNTAINS SPEAK TO ME?

Life is not like an endless plain with no ups and downs. There are happy times and sad times, and there is one God above all.
To live in harmony and peace, you do not need to have a big bank balance.
(Don't be proud of your money as it will never satisfy you)
The smile of a village child simply playing with sticks and stones, The joy and happiness reflected from their faces is truly beautiful.

PROS AND CONS OF LIVING IN MOUNTAINS

Sometimes I feel so privileged to have that new gadget in my hand and food delivery just a click away when I stay in cities, but then the people of mountains have something that city people can only dream of, Peace and Happiness, isn't that something city people always aspire for?
People here have no complaints against their poverty, the only complain they have is for some basic needs in life.
That is why Muhammad Iqbal said in his poem

"If we are in an alien place, the heart remains in the homeland. Know us to be only there where our heart is. The tallest mountain, that shade-sharer of the sky, it is our watchman."

There is something about mountains the greenery, fresh air, mind-blowing views and what not. You feel much more when you're in mountains. The people are warm-hearted, friendly and welcoming. They will invite you over for chai and snacks and loves to share their stories, laughter and sometimes misery. Life in mountains could be harsh. No connection from the outside world, less resources, no big opportunities adds to the cons of life in mountains.
